WEBSHIELD

The WebShield component is responsible for identifying the real IP addresses of attackers who may be using a content delivery network (CDN) or proxy to mask their location. It then separates these addresses from legitimate users, and flags them as suspicious. This allows WebShield to create splash screens and CAPTCHA challenges that prevent malicious requests from causing harm or slowing down the system. Essentially, WebShield helps to ensure that only valid traffic is allowed through, while blocking potentially dangerous requests.
